Denver, Milwaukee Swap Players Monday, July 31st , 1972 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Denver Burros and the Milwaukee Dairymen have agreed to a deal that will have 28-year old LF Jessie Barron, a 1st round draft pick, a 2nd round draft pick, and a 3rd round draft pick heading to Milwaukee in exchange for 28-year old RHP Jeff Munoz. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Barron has batted .271 for his career with 831 hits, 128 doubles, 40 triples, 127 home runs, and 452 RBIs. In 23 starts this season, Munoz has chalked up a 6-11 record and a 2.92 ERA. |
