Packers, Burros Confirm Deal Monday, July 31st , 1972 It likely won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Cincinnati Packers and Denver Burros finalized a trade today. Cincinnati will send 31-year old C Frank Bohley to the Burros, while the Packers will receive a 3rd round draft pick. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," Packers general manager Martin Abresch said. The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players joining their new ballclubs by the end of the day. To date this year, Bohley is batting .266 with 7 home runs. |
