July's Starter of the Month Goes to McDonald Tuesday, August 1st , 1972 The National Baseball League scribes have announced July's Pitcher of the Month and have given the award to Tim McDonald of Cleveland. He was one tough cookie on the mound last month with a fine 5-0 mark to prove it. The Cleveland star made 6 starts with a 2.00 ERA and surrendered 39 hits in 45 innings. He struck out 32 and walked 10. This year, McDonald has posted a 8-9 mark in 22 starts and has a 3.37 ERA. |
