Year Over for Explorers Panetta
Wednesday, August 2nd , 1972
Chuck Panetta will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the St. Louis left fielder could miss the remainder of the year. Panetta was injured while colliding with a player at a base in the Explorers-Traders clash at Corps of Discovery Stadium recently. Doctors said he has torn cartilage in his shoulder and would be out a minimum of 9 months.

This year, Panetta is hitting .288 with 115 hits, 3 home runs, 50 RBIs and has scored 41 runs.
