The Seattle Emeralds starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Chicago Hawks and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Geary was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as ligament damage in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 11 months. This year, Geary has fashioned a 8-9 mark, 4.67 ERA and pitched 146.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .292 against him and he has logged 45 strikeouts. |
