Downs's Treatment Not Going Well, Suffers Setback Sunday, August 21st , 1966 Fans hoping to see Atlanta Generals left fielder Jerry Downs back in action will have to be a little more patient since Downs is expected to miss another 4 days of action. The player's rehabilitation has not gone as well as expected. Downs is recovering from a mild abdominal strain. Looking at his stats this year, Downs has compiled a .237 batting average, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 47 runs. He has played in 102 games and scored 42 runs. |
