Burgess Has Season End Monday, September 29th, 1890 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Washington's Fletcher Burgess to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 09/25/1890 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Burgess said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Burgess has been out of action since he suffered a strained lat. This season Burgess is batting .318 with no home runs. His totals include 25 RBIs and 42 runs scored. |
