Atlanta Trades Combs for Pittsburgh's Winder Monday, July 22nd , 1974 Earlier today, officials from the Atlanta Generals and the Pittsburgh Industrials announced that they had finalized negotiations on a trade between the two teams. The deal will send 25-year old RHP Frank Combs to Pittsburgh in exchange for 23-year old RHP Ron Winder and 22-year old SS Jerry Martin. This season, Combs has 6 wins and 8 losses and a 4.14 ERA. Winder has started 21 times this year, pitched 119.2 innings, fanned 48 batters and walked 31. His current record is 7 wins and 3 losses with a 3.53 ERA. |
