Toronto Shuts Out New York, 7-0

In a remarkable performance, Toronto Hurons starter Dave Hamilton beat the New York Empires, 7-0, in an impressive 3-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Hurons hurler finished with 4 strikeouts and 4 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," New York manager Dan Whiting said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
For the season, Hamilton has logged 3 wins and 14 losses and struck out 95 batters in 163 innings while compiling a 4.14 ERA.
