Connor Baffles New York Batters
Friday, September 10th , 1976
Montreal Habitants pitcher Lawrence Connor really got it done at Queens Field in a 1-0 shutout victory over the New York Empires, shutting them down on 3 hits.

"It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Connor said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."

The 30-year-old issued no walks and had 4 strikeouts in the Habitants win.

This year, Connor has fanned 120 in 198 innings and collected a 11-10 record with a 3.00 ERA.
