Clark 5-for-5 for Quakers Sunday, September 12th , 1976 Philadelphia center fielder Tom Clark had a big day at Quakers Stadium against the Brooklyn Bluebirds. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 11-5 Quakers triumph over Brooklyn. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Clark said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Tom Clark doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th and hit an RBI double in the 7th.
