Everts Enters MLB Hall of Fame

Maggie Everts, a standout catcher throughout his Major League Baseball career, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame in his 0 attempt.
During the induction ceremony, he credited the coaches who taught him to play the game and the teammates who taught him to be a professional.
However, the most important influence, Everts said, was his father. "Pops never gave up on me," he said, "no matter how often I felt like giving up on myself.
In his 2002-game career, Everts hit .259 with 1753 hits, 249 home runs, 1042 runs scored and 974 RBIs.
He wrapped up his career at the age of 37 and retired, hanging up his cleats in 1966.
