Bobcats Bill Harper Injured: Day-to-Day Friday, August 18th , 1972 Cleveland's star third baseman Bill Harper injured himself in a game against the Milwaukee Dairymen, prompting the team to list him as day-to-day. The doctors are reporting the injury as a sore back and they say the best medicine is a short period of rest. "Hopefully I don't get replaced by some hotshot wannabe," said Harper with a smile as he talked to reporters. Harper is hitting .295 in 1972 with 54 RBIs and 19 home runs. |
