Bruce Owen hurled nothing but zeros at the New York Empires in an impressive outing at Atlantic Station Field. The Atlanta pitcher allowed 5 hits, fanned 4, and walked 1 in blanking New York, 2-0.
"There were a lot of frustrated guys walking back to the dugout," New York manager Dan Whiting said. "Not a fun day."
