Wolverines Fredrick Tames Atlanta Thursday, April 18th , 1968 John Fredrick dominated the Atlanta Generals with a brilliant 6-hit shutout in a Detroit Wolverines 7-0 triumph at Wolverine Field. The Detroit hurler fanned 7 and walked 2 in the game and was singled out for praise afterward by the opposing manager. "He really kept us in check today," Generals skipper Philipe Yazzie said in postgame comments. "Everything looked to be moving.
