ABL Honors June's #1 Pitcher Friday, July 1st , 1977 The best pitcher this past month in the American Baseball League was Gary Ovitt of the Atlanta Generals. He really razzle-dazzled league hitters, finishing June with a standout 3-0 record and 1.32 ERA. The Generals hurler made 6 starts and surrendered 39 hits in 47.2 innings.
