Hit Parade: Lasseter Pops 5 Hits Saturday, July 9th , 1977 Max Lasseter was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at LaSalle Stadium, the Toronto first baseman blistered the Montreal Habitants for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a good 11-1 victory. "Lasseter was too tough to get out," Habitants skipper Michel Alexandre Cauchon said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Max Lasseter singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Lawrence Connor in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jack Lyons in the 8th.
