Hitting Streak Still Alive for Robinson
Tuesday, June 19th , 1973
Jamie Robinson, third baseman for the Denver Burros, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 1 hit in his club's 2-0 victory over the Milwaukee Dairymen at Milwaukee Municipal Stadium.
"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Jamie Robinson singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
Currently Robinson is hitting .309 and has collected 15 home runs, 57 RBIs and scored 37 times, while playing in 69 games.
