Anderson's Strong Week Earns NBL Trophy Monday, July 11th , 1977 When it came to hitting the baseball, Jerry Anderson was in a class by himself in the National Baseball League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding right fielder for Cincinnati tagged opposing pitchers for a .714 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 14 at-bats, 2 homers, 6 runs scored and 5 RBIs. This season, Anderson is hitting .263 with 15 home runs. |
