Monday, July 11th , 1977
Not every ball that came off Max Lasseter's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Toronto Hurons. For his exploits, Lasseter was named this week's American Baseball League Player of the Week award.
The Toronto first baseman put up 15 hits in 27 at-bats and 2 home runs while hitting .556 with 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Looking at his present stats, Lasseter has compiled a .327 batting average in 88 games with a .437 on-base percentage, while hitting 17 home runs and driving in 53 runs.
