Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Cincinnati Tuesday, September 5th , 1967 They have certainly not struck fear into the hearts of any other Major League Baseball teams this season and as of today the Cincinnati Packers are officially out of the race for the postseason. The Packers have missed the playoffs 70 times in their 86 years as a Major League Baseball franchise.
