Bluebirds Out of Time, Out of Playoffs
Sunday, September 10th , 1967
Dave Tislow said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Brooklyn Bluebirds after they missed the Major League Baseball playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today.
The Bluebirds have missed the playoffs 71 times in their 85 years as a Major League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 14th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1953. Brooklyn has won the World Series 8 times in their history.
