Juarez Too Tough, Blanks Seattle
Sunday, July 15th , 1973
David Juarez hurled nothing but zeros at the Seattle Emeralds in an impressive outing at Puget Field. The Boston pitcher allowed 5 hits, fanned 4, and walked 1 in blanking Seattle, 3-0.

"There were a lot of frustrated guys walking back to the dugout," Seattle manager Mark Velez said. "Not a fun day."

This season to date, Juarez has a record of 9 wins and 6 losses with a 3.13 ERA, has appeared in 19 games and struck out 59 in 138 innings.
