NBL Names Best Player Monday, August 15th , 1977 Philadelphia sports fans can't stop singing the praises of Roger Turner, who has been selected the National Baseball League Player of the Week. Turner was in a comfort zone all week, finishing with a .545 average (12-for-22), 11 RBIs and 6 home runs. Thus far this season in 102 games, Turner is batting .322 with 22 home runs, 59 RBIs and 48 runs scored. He has 95 hits in 295 at-bats. |
