Giardina Hashes out 4-Year Contract
Monday, August 4th , 1975
Fans hailed the signing of Rick Giardina today as the Twin Cities Northmen catcher came to terms with the club.
Set to make $1,350,000 over the upcoming 4 years, Giardina signed primarily out of loyalty to the organization, thrilling the most diehard supporters who think there isn't much loyalty in a market driven by free agency.
This year, Giardina is hitting .223, produced 40 RBIs and 7 home runs, scored 32 times and gotten on base at a .312 rate.
