Boston First Baseman Nets ABL Award Monday, July 23rd , 1973 When it came to hitting the baseball, Don Bozza was in a class by himself in the American Baseball League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding first baseman for Boston tagged opposing pitchers for a .524 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 3 homers, 5 runs scored and 12 RBIs. Thus far in 1973, Bozza is hitting .309 with 10 home runs, 48 RBIs, 52 runs scored and has compiled a .373 OBP. |
