San Francisco Hurler Wins Rookie Award Sunday, October 1st , 1967 One of the bright young starters in the American Baseball League, Reggie Wright is living up to the potential that Seagulls scouts thought might be there. As a starter for San Francisco, Wright paced his team with a 4-1 record in September to earn himself Rookie of the Month accolades. He made 6 starts, tossed 48.1 innings, struck out 30 batters and allowed the opposition to hit .175 against him. To date this season Wright is 18-8 with 32 starts and an ERA of 1.93 with 126 strikeouts in 256.2 innings. |
