Riojas Firms Up Extension with Houston

Team officials were upbeat today as Manny Riojas signed an extension with the Drillers. He'll be calling Houston home for the next 1 year and will earn $450,000 in salary by the end of the contract. The Drillers GM said, "We're excited to know he'll be part of this team going forward. This is a good day for him, and we believe it makes the future for us better."
Riojas has a career .252 batting average and .325 on-base percentage. He has recorded 1102 hits with 202 doubles, 14 triples, 183 homers, 566 RBIs and scored 566 runs since coming into the league.
