Sisson Signs 4-Year Extension
Friday, February 4th , 1972
Mark Sisson might be greedy, but there's no disputing his talent. The hotshot center fielder will pocket $1,400,000 after re-signing with the Drillers earlier today, and will hang around another 4 years.
Some more financially prudent fans worried that the signing would burden the club down the road and might prevent it from being competitive, though many others were simply thankful that Sisson didn't bolt.
In his 350-game career Sisson is hitting .278 with 340 hits, 55 doubles, 17 triples and 74 home runs. He has scored 233 runs and driven in 246.
