Hudson Blasts 3 into Bleachers
Wednesday, August 27th , 1975
It was a good day for the Montreal Habitants and an exceptional one for Ed Hudson. The 24-year-old third baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Habitants beat the New York Empires, 11-2, at LaSalle Stadium.
"When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Hudson said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day, he scored 4 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats.
Ed Hudson hit a solo-shot off Jon Pierce in the 1st, walked in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jon Pierce in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Steve Carroll in the 8th.
Hudson is currently batting .263 with 27 home runs and 75 RBIs.
