Postseason Bid Ends for Montreal Tuesday, September 21st , 1971 It's not quite the championship run that fans in Montreal might have envisioned. The Montreal Habitants were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in Major League Baseball and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Habitants manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon. The Habitants also missed the playoffs last year. |
