Explorers Come up Short of Playoffs Sunday, September 28th , 1975 Charlie Bartels said he will do everything he can to ensure the St. Louis Explorers make the playoffs next year. The St. Louis player said it is "devastating" to miss out on the playoffs in the final week. Before this season, the Explorers last missed the playoffs in 1973. In the 94 years they have been a Major League Baseball franchise, they have missed the playoffs 76 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Explorers have missed the playoffs 7 times. St. Louis has won the World Series 7 times in their history. |
