Seattle Devastated by Playoff Elimination Sunday, September 28th , 1975 Seattle Emeralds shortstop Roberto Soto said his team's effort to get into the playoffs fell "heartbreakingly short." But that's the situation they are faced with, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. The Emeralds have made the playoffs 4 times in their 30 years as a Major League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 20th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1955. |
