Detroit's Adams Reaps ABL's Rookie Award Monday, October 25th , 1976 Larry Adams made quite a name for himself in his rookie year. The Detroit catcher brought home the 1976 Rookie of the Year Award today in recognition of his performance. Adams played in 103 games, batted .281, collected 96 hits in 342 at-bats, 7 home runs, 52 RBIs, 35 runs scored, 32 walks and compiled a .342 OBP. Frank Governor of the Baltimore Lords finished second in voting, while Efrain Roca of the Baltimore Lords finished third. |
