Star of the Week Named in ABL Monday, September 11th , 1972 Roger McCoy demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the American Baseball League Player of the Week Award. The Dallas right fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .440 average (11-for-25) with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. Thus far this season, McCoy has hit .295 with 13 home runs, 71 RBIs and scored 55 times. |
