Skip Carter was in command in his outing against the St. Louis Explorers. He hurled the Kansas City Bulls to a 3-0 shutout victory, yielded 3 hits and chalked up 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"A complete-game shutout is fun territory for me," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I had good balance and mechanics and was able to keep the ball down. When I do that, good things happen."
To date, Carter has a 7-16 mark in 30 starts with a 4.23 ERA. He has given up 192 hits in 189.1 innings, struck out 79 and issued 70 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .268 batting average against him.
