Year Over for Bobcats Batkin Friday, September 22nd , 1972 Harold Batkin has to call it a season. The Cleveland Bobcats first baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the New York Knickerbockers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Batkin was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a strained groin muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 weeks. So far this season, Batkin has hit .261 with 12 home runs, 52 RBIs and scored 41 times. |
