Habitants Clinch Wild Card Tuesday, September 26th , 1972 The Montreal Habitants celebrated joyously tonight after clinching a wild card spot in the American Baseball League. The overzealous celebration was for good reason, with the Habitants only securing their playoff position in the season's final days. "We're going to let loose a little and enjoy this accomplishment," said closer Al Johns. "It's been a long season and a tough playoff race." |
