Campbell Gets September's Top Pitcher Trophy

September's premier pitcher was Andy Campbell of Milwaukee Dairymen. He pulverized National Baseball League hitters all month long and picked up the Pitcher of the Month award. The Dairymen star hurler fashioned a 4-0 record en route to the honor.
He had 20 strikeouts in 39 innings and compiled a 0.46 ERA. Other clubs hit .201 against him.
On his stats sheet this season, Campbell shows a 13-11 record, 34 starts, 239 innings, 137 strikeouts and a 2.90 ERA.
