Davis Razor-Sharp, Shuts Out Montreal
Sunday, September 22nd , 1974
Bill Davis was dynamite at Atlantic Station Field, blowing away the Montreal Habitants in a shutout victory. The Atlanta Generals starter had everything working as he held the Habitants to 3 hits in the 1-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Montreal skipper Michel Alexandre Cauchon. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Davis finished the game with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.
His record for the year is 15-8 in 33 starts and Davis has a 2.82 ERA.
