Bulls Come up Short of Playoffs Tuesday, September 24th , 1974 It's now time for the Kansas City Bulls to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 1974 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Bulls left fielder Chris Taylor. The Bulls have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 20 years as a Major League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 8th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1966. In the last 10 seasons, the Bulls have made the playoffs 4 times. |
