Philadelphia Clinches Wild Card Saturday, September 28th , 1974 The Philadelphia Quakers say they look forward to opening some eyes in the Major League Baseball playoffs. "Teams may look past us as we didn't win our division, but we plan to turn it up and play our best come playoffs," said closer Darrell Klug. With a 90-70 record, the Quakers have clinched a wild card position in the National Baseball League. Philadelphia will now be looking to win its 12th Major League Baseball championship. |
