Denver Sends Perez to Twin Cities Monday, February 21st , 1972 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Burros announced today the acquisition of a 2nd round draft pick from the Twin Cities Northmen in exchange for 27-year old CF Melvin Perez. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Burros, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." In his career, Perez has hit .252 with 442 hits, 34 home runs, 188 RBIs and scored 190 runs. |
