Media analysts hailed Pittsburgh's signing of Terry McClellan, one of Major League Baseball's brightest stars, as a pivotal move.

While the deal is certain to raise a few eyebrows, McClellan is expected to earn every bit of the $2,880,000 promised him over 4 years.

McClellan has a career .291 batting average and .352 on-base percentage. He has recorded 1061 hits with 181 doubles, 5 triples, 89 homers, 502 RBIs and scored 455 runs since coming into the league.
