Did Players-Only Meeting Have an Impact? Sunday, September 24th , 1961 Lou Poundstone recently held a players-only meeting with members of the Twin Cities Northmen, to discuss issues on and off the field during their recent struggles. But Poundstone now says he's not so sure if the meeting had any impact. "I mostly talked, some guys listened, some it seemed to roll right off their back. I don't know, I guess we'll see how the rest of the season goes," he said, while still being unwilling to discuss the specifics of what was talked about in the meeting. |
