NBL Names Burros King Winner Monday, May 27th , 1968 His critics are starting to suggest that Denver's Ralph King doesn't have much left, but the 38-year-old King prefers not to think that way. He cooked up a remarkable week in the last seven days, topping it off with the Player of the Week Award in the National Baseball League. The veteran left fielder for the Burros rolled to a .429 average (12-for-28) with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. So far this year, King is batting .401 with 12 home runs and 40 RBIs. |
