Houston Reliever Out
Wednesday, March 6th , 1974
Warner Manning of the Houston Drillers was injured in today's game against Boston and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is ligament damage in his elbow, and he is expected to be out for up to 14 months. It happened while Manning was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
