Portland's McCullough Snaps Up Player of the Week Monday, August 13th , 1962 His hard work and hustle paid off this week. The hard-working and hard-playing Tommy McCullough was rewarded with the Western Baseball League Player of the Week honors. The scrappy Portland Roses right fielder hit .361 while collecting 13 hits in 36 at-bats, 3 home runs and 12 RBIs.
