HBL's Top Hitter Announced Wednesday, August 1st , 1962 At only 23 years of age, Marty Duvall could very well be having many more months like the last this in his career. That would be great news for fans of the Decatur Commodores, as July was one to remember for the center fielder and he has captured the Heartland Baseball League Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .357 with 4 home runs, 19 RBIs and 22 runs scored. In this current campaign Duvall is hitting at a .269 clip with 12 home runs and 48 RBIs. |
