LSL Player of the Week Announced Monday, June 11th , 1962 El Paso Diablos hurler Tomas Alaniz sailed through opposing hitters with the greatest of ease for a 3-0 record during the last seven days and earned himself the Lone Star Baseball League Player of the Week Award in the process. He made it look easy, fanning 4 in 4.2 innings, allowing 1 hits and holding opposing hitters to a .071 batting average while posting an impressive 1.93 ERA. This year Alaniz has compiled a 3-1 mark with a 2.70 ERA in 0 starts. |
